“Simply Outstanding - top quality for low price!”

This is an amazing hotel in Central Porto. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights in April and could not believe the quality we were getting for €46 a night!

The hotel is brand new, hence the lack of reviews, but believe when I say it has been built to an incredibly high standard. Tasteful design was evident throughout the hotel, everything was spotlessly clean and all the fixtures and fittings were very high quality. From the lights that come on automatically in the hallways, to the classic prints everywhere of Marlon Brando and Lauren Bacall (B&B, hence the hotel's name!).

We didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on the food, but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect too, right on the Rua de Santa Catarina (main shopping street in Porto). 5 mins walk to Bolhao metro station with connection to almost all lines (including Airport), and not too far from the Ribiera either.

Really can't speak highly enough of this hotel. I would imagine it will be 4 star at least when it is established, so book now while the price is still low!

One thing to note, if it matters to you: there are not tea/coffee making facilities, or safety deposit boxes in the rooms (though you can leave valuables in the safe at reception should you wish)

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor facing the back of the hotel. We could see down to the garden area, but didn't have much of a view otherwise. I would imagine that if you get a front-facing room on a higher floor, you should be able to see the Ribiera/bridges - check with the hotel.”

Ligt in het centrum met van alles op loop afstand, vriendelijk personeel en een redelijk ontbijt voor weinig extra geld.

Está muy bien ubicado, en pleno centro de Oporto y muy cerca de los principales lugares de interés de la ciudad y de la estación de tren, autobus y metro. El edificio tiene encanto, las instalaciones son nuevas y decoradas con buen gusto. La habitación límpia, comfortable y silenciosa. Es un hotel tranquilo, sin lujos pero con encanto.

Un très bon rapport qualité - prix Hotel très bien situé au coeur de la ville de Porto, proche de toutes commodités: bar, café, restaurant, shopping, tourisme. Ancien cinéma entièrement refait à neuf dans un style design et très contemporain. Etablissement aussi beau à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. Espaces détentes très agréables avec nombreux fauteuils et canapés à disposition des hôtes, tv et machines à boissons chaudes ou fraîches et encas. Possibilité de se détendre sur la terrasse intérieure très bien équipée et le jardin . Accès aux étages par par deux grands ascenseurs. Un sasse d'accueil à deux chambres permet une bonne insonorisation des parties privatives. Accès à la chambre par codes sécurisés. La chambre est d'une taille raisonnable et tout à fait correcte pour un court séjour. Chambre lumineuse grâce à de grande fenêtres (double vitrage) et sans vis à vis. Fenêtres occultantes par un simple store mais c'est suffisant. Les draps et les serviettes sont propres et sont changés tous les jours. La literie et les oreillers sont très convenables. Le petit bureau n'est pas inutile. Moquette au sol sauf dans la salle de bain. Grande douche à l'italienne, wc, lavabo et petit miroir. A l'entrée de la chambre il y a un très grand miroir qui permet de se voir en entier. Petit déjeuner varié et à volonté pour 7€: boissons chaudes, fraîches, croissants, brioche, pain, céréales, jambon, fromage, fruits... Parking à proximité pour 7€/jour sous réservation. Vous souhaitant un aussi bon séjour que le notre.

Un hotel muy confortable, de amabilidad absoluta en su personal, trato adecuado, muy buena ubicacion, mejor calidad que el precio pagado, excelente. Ir a Oporto y no consultar los precios de este hotel, puede ser uno de los errores mas graves del viaje.

Personnel super, chambre super, luxe, ancien cinema, une vraie histoire, situé au centre du vielle ville, parking à coté, rien de à demander.

Très satisfaits de notre week end au b&b avec une situation idéale pour les piétons qui souhaitent visiter la ville. Confort et accueil très agréables. Nous recommandons vivement cet hotel.

El hotel ha superado mis espectativas, para ser de dos estrellas podría pasar por cuatro, por la amplitud de las habitaciones, todo reformado y por tanto parece nuevo, el hotel está muy centrico y la gente de Oporto en general es muy amable, yo volveria sin duda a este hotel. Lo único que le falta es quizas un secador, por lo demás y para mi no es ningún inconveniente, me ha parecido genial.

Hotel magnifique et calme. Tres bien situe en plein centre ville a 2 min a pieds du telepherique et de rues tres commercantes. Rapport qualite prix super je recommande vraiment super pour un weekend en amoureux la chambre etait magnifique et les lieux communs de l'hotel somptueux !!!! pour 45euros la nuit!

El hotel es precioso, un antiguo teatro reformado decorado con mucho gusto. Las habitaciones amplias y las camas muy comodas. El personal muy atento.

Solo le puedo decir que me sentí MUY SATISFECHO desde el primer momento en que entre en el hotel, y por cuestiones de trabajo creo que les visitaré con frecuencia. En recepción nos atendio una chiquilla muy maja super agradable. La habitación ideal (pequeño defecto, el baño un poquitín reducido, pero sin importancia). Limpieza explendida (muy importante). Situación inmejorable. Muy agradecido por la atención recibida. Es un hotel para recomendar. Nos veremos en más ocasiones.

A N/ empresa congratula-se de ter estado "inserida" num empreendimento de enorme nobreza e requinte, no que concerne à qualidade do empreendimento, mas sobretudo, associado ao enorme cuidado de manter a integridade do imóvel patrimonial em questão, destacando todas a suas características que o distinguem e o tornam único, cujo resultado final o atesta.

Foi uma agradável estada na cidade do Porto, e no hotel B&B. Acomodação ótima, confortável e sem falar nos funcionários muito simpáticos e educados. Adorei tudo e recomendarei aos amigos e voltarei com certeza.

I really liked Porto Centro BB!! It was quite a surprise!! I found it by pure chance when going out of the bus station on Praca de Batalha and I was very happy about it!! I was in Porto for 2 days discovering the beautiful city and the Porto Wineries. The room is big and comfortable. All in all, our stay was a great value for the quality of service of this B&B. New hotel, clean and quiet. Amazing deal! All your staff is really helpful and sweet. Very professional. Please thank Mafalda on my behave. She is a sweetheart. Would love to visit again in the future! I hope the prices do not go up in the meantime!

In October we traveled to Portugal on vacation. When we arrived in Porto we were seeking accommodations on a busy weekend. We were walking in the neighborhood of the B&B and just stopped in to see if a room was available. We were happy to learn one room was left. Our stay was wonderful. We loved Porto as well as our accommodations. We found the room comfortable, the location convenient, the breakfast lovely and the cost extremely reasonable. In fact, I think this was our best hotel experience in all of Portugal. I especially want to compliment you on your staff. All of the girls at the front desk were extremely helpful and friendly. Andreia was especially kind and helpful, going out of her way on several occasions to provide information and directions. When we returned to the US, I had tried to e-mail to let you know what great service Andreia had provided, but was unsuccessful communicating through your web-site. We would not hesitate to stay at a B&B property in the future, in fact we will seek them out in our travels. I was excited to learn there will be a B&B in Rome in 2012.
